ADB delegation visits Walton factory

A delegation team from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has expressed their satisfaction over the ongoing production line and sound-working environment at Walton Hi-tech Industries while visiting its factory at Chandra in Gazipur on Friday.
An eight-member ADB delegation, led by its Chief Economist Shang-Jin Wei, briefed media that “Walton’s growth rate is also very much impressive.”
During the short history of Walton, it successfully creates a strong position in the country’s local electronics market by bringing many products in its production line, Wei said.
The delegation chief also hoped that the company would be able to beat the future of Samsung in future.
Managing Director of Walton Hi-tech Industries Limited SM Ashraful Alam welcomed the ADB delegation at factory premises by giving bouquet while the company’s Executive Director (Finance) Abul Bashar Hawlader, Director (operation) Uday Hakim, First Senior Additional Director Lieutenant Col (Retd) Abdul Kader were also present.
The other members of the delegation were ADB Country Director Kazuhiko Higuchi, Senior Economist Valerie Mercer Blackman, Senior Economics Officer Shamsur Rahman, Economist Golam Mortuza Head of Administration, Finance Maruf Hossain and Senior Financial Sector Specialist Bidyut Kumar Saha.
During the visit of ADB delegation, Walton presented a video documentation highlighting its production line.
