Popular film actor of the 90s, Nayeem recently went through a bypass surgery on November 6 at a private hospital in the
capital. As he recovers, Nayeem was shifted to the cabin from the intensive care unit (ICU) yesterday. His wife, noted film actress Shabnaz, confirmed the news on Friday.
While talking in this regard Shabnaz told this correspondent, “Nayeem’s health condition is improving by the grace of the Almighty. I request all to pray for my husband’s good health.”
The Shabnaz-Nayeem pair was popularised by noted film director Ehtesham’s movie Chandni. They appeared in many movies together and the pair was one of the most popular ones in Dhaka’s film industry. Both Shabnaz and Nayeem have been away from on screen appearances for many years.
