Asaduzzaman Mia, Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said if Police harass any innocent persons in the name of anti-narcotics drive in the Dhaka city, we must take necessary actions against the guilty.
DMP Commissioner was addressing a program which was arranged for distributing clothes among poor people on the occasion of coming Eid-ul-Fitr held at Paltan Community Center on Saturday.
“None will be secure if found guilty. But innocent people have nothing to be afraid of,” he said.
“No innocent person will be harassed in the DMP area in the name of drives against drugs and militancy. If it happens, legal action will be taken,” he said.
“Drug abuse is destroying our kids. Therefore, we have declared ‘jihad’ against it,” the DMP chief said further.
