Due to publishing distored picture of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and vulgar words posted over social communication media face book, police of Balagonj Upazila interrogated accused’s father two times calling him to Police Station.
It has been learnt from the locals, name of the accused is Sohel Ahmed S/O Md. Gedai Miah, Gourinathpur village under Balagonj Police Station in Sylhet District, used to publish continuously distorted picture and posted vulgar words of Sheikh Hasina using his own face book ID. For this, the organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami Basthuhara League, Pabna District Unit Md. Firoj Hossain filed a case against the accused in Pabna Sadar Police Station on last 7th March 2016 under section 57 of the Information and Communication Technology Act 2006 (amended 2009) along with section 506 of Bangladesh Penal Code. Case No-38, Dated-7/3/2016.
Moreover, accused Sohel Ahmed has been residing in London for a few years. Without finding the accused Sohel Ahmed, the police of Balagonj Police Station interrogated father Md. Gedai Miah on last 5/5/2016, and 18/8/2016, a Balagonj Police Station.
