UNB, Dhaka :
The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate a Rajuk director for allegedly taking a freedom fighter
certificate showing fake evidence and acquiring illegal wealth.
The Commission recently sent a notice to Rajuk asking its director (Estate-East) Nazrul Islam to be present at the ACC head office on Tuesday to face questioning, according to ACC sources. Earlier in January 2015, the ACC received allegations that
Nazrul Islam managed a freedom fighter’s certificate through false information although he did not take part in the Liberation War in 1971.
There was also an allegation against him that he acquired huge illegal wealth misusing his power at Rajuk. Considering these allegations, the national anti-graft agency later launched a probe against the Rajuk director and appointed its assistant director Hafizur Rahman as inquiry officer to probe the allegations.
