The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate chief engineer of Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh (CAAB) Sudhendu Bikash Goswami today for alleged irregularities, corruption and embezzlement of funds.
He will have to appear before the Commission’s head office in the capital at 10 am on the day with the required documents, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
ACC assistant director Salam Ali Mollah will quiz Sudhendu on Sunday while the chief engineer will face interrogation by another assistant director Khairul Haque on Tuesday (June 12). According to the ACC, Sudhendu amassed a huge amount of money through irregularities and corruption in maintenance, construction and purchase work.
On October 19 last year, the ACC interrogated two CAAB engineers, including its chief engineer, for their suspected involvement in corruption. An ACC team, led by its director Mir Joynul Abedin Shebly, grilled the CAAB chief engineer and its superintendent engineer M Maksudul Islam.
