The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to investigate corruption charges including possessing illegal assets and running casino business, brought against three councilors of Dhaka City Corporation.
ACC Deputy Director (media) Pronab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to media on Sunday.
The councilors are Iqbal Hossain Titu of Ward 12 of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Shafiqul Islam Sentu of Ward 31 (Mohammadpur) and Mianul Haque Manju of Ward 39 councillor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
According to the ACC, the anti-graft commission decided to investigate them based on reports published against them on various newspapers.
