A Dhaka court yesterday allowed Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to interrogate suspended Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police Mizanur Rahman at jail gate on July 15 over allegations of paying bribe to ACC director Khandaker Enamul Basir.
ACC director and head of the team that is probing the allegations, Sheikh Md Fanafillah on Wednesday
submit a plea, saying his team in their primary investigation found the allegations of exchanging bribe true and they need to interrogate the suspended DIG for the sake of proper investigation.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate KM Imrul Qayes then passed the order allowing the plea of ACC director. The court also ordered to send a copy of yesterday’s order to the superintendant of Keraniganj Central Prison, where DIG Mizan has been kept.
