The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday summoned Principal of Ideal School and College Shahanara Begum on allegations of amassing illegal wealth.
A notice issued on Monday signed by ACC Assistant Director Ataur Rahman Sarkar was sent to her address. Deputy Director (Public Relations) of ACC Muhammad Arif Sadek confirmed the news.
According to the letter, Shahanara Begum was asked to appear in the
Commission’s Head Office on November 15 and explain her stance. If she fails to appear on due time, it will be deemed that she has no statement on the matter, the notice further said.
It has been learnt that there are many allegations against her for illegal acquisition of wealth through various irregularities and corruption, including admission manipulation.
