ACC starts another investigation against NBL alleged corruption

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched another investigation into the allegation against the chairman of the National Bank Ltd (NBL) and its board of directors on charge of emblazing $30 lakh dollars through credit cards.
The watchdog has already sought seven types of dossiers from the concerned persons of the bank for carrying out the investigation. Two separate notices signed by ACC director Syed Iqbal Hossain were issued on Sunday.
The letter has sought a number of papers from the managing director of the National Bank Ltd. It includes application of the current bank account of MS IPS Trading with the Nimtoli branch of the bank, photos attached with sample signatures, KWC form, Transaction Profile (TP) and current account statement from the beginning to the present time.
Records relating to the investment and construction for the NBL tower in Karwanbazar in the capital. It includes estimation, tender, selection of contractors, work order, certification of work completion and billing.
In addition, if it is a joint investment, then the agreement papers and records of loans have to be submitted.
