M Badiuzzaman, Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), on Sunday urged the people to assist the anti-graft body with information of corruption taking place around them.
 “I would like to request the people to help us against the corrupt and serve us with information about corruption occurring around them”.
He said this speaking at a human chain programme marking ‘Corruption Prevention Week-2014’ in front of the National Press Club on the day.
Prior to it the ACC brought out a rally from in front of its head office at Segunbagicha in the city, which paraded some city
roads before dispersing in front of Jatiya Pres Club.
The ACC, the chairman said, will never stop its fight against corruption. Referring to those who are critical of the ACC, he said, “We will be able to show our effectiveness against corruption soon.”
 All corrupts would be brought to book sooner or later, he said.
ACC Commissioner Shahabuddin Chuppu said,” The political identity of any one is not acceptable in case of corruption. The only identity of such people is that they are corrupt “.
 “We have no weakness or sympathy to those who are corrupt”, he said adding that the ACC is scrutinizing the allegations on corruption.
