The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman M Badiuzzaman on Wednesday said that the ACC would set up ‘Satatasongha’ (a club of honest people) with the students of 22,000 schools and colleges to curb corruption.
“An organisation named ‘Satatasongha’ will be
formed to refrain the students from corruption and to prevent corruption.
He was speaking at a seminar on “Strategy of Good Behaviour” held in Khulna Circuit House as the chief guest yesterday.
Khulna Division Administration organized the programme with a view to ensure public utility services, to establish justice and corruption-free society and to establish rule of law.
Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Abdus Samad presided over the seminar, while Additional DIG of Khulna Range Ekramul Haque and Additional Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police Mahbub Hakim were present as special guests.
Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Md Mostafa Kamal gave the welcome speech, while Director of Environment Department Dr Mallik Anwar Hossain presented a keynote paper.
Hundreds of government officials from different districts and upazilas attended the seminar.
The ACC Chairman said, the ACC set up 22 offices in 22 districts. It has a plan to establish offices in all the districts in the country.
