The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday (Thursday) grilled Power Development Board (PDB) Chief Engineer Khaled Mahmud in connection with embezzlement of Tk 2,500 crore from Ghorashal Bidyut Kendra.
ACC Deputy Director Hamidul Hasan interrogated him between 12:00noon and 2:00pm.
The money was plundered in the name of increasing generation capacity of the Ghorashal Unit-6.
The Commission has already collected necessary documents from the power centre and took the allegation into cognizance and assigned Deputy Director Hamidul to look into the matter.
Many more officials of the centre will be asked to appear in the commission in this regard, the investigation officer said.
