UNB, Dhaka :
The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has cleared controversial MP Abdur Rahman Bodi (Cox’s Bazar-4) of a graft allegation.
The Commission recently gave clean chit to Bodi through an official notification issued by ACC secretary Abu M Mustafa Kamal, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
The ACC had received a graft allegation in 2004 that Abdur Rahman Bodi was involved in tender manipulation in a revenue and development project when he was mayor of Teknaf municipality during 2001-2005. Considering the graft allegation, the Commission launched a probe earlier, but the ACC failed to complete it.
The national anti-graft body this year decided to reinitiate the probe and appointed its assistant director of Chittagong Zila office M Moniurzzaman as an inquiry officer.
