Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday temporarily suspended an assistant director, Saiduzzaman, for negligent in his duty.
ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to UNB.
He said that in the afternoon, the chairman of ACC Iqbal Mahmood suddenly visited the complaint center (Hotline 106) established on the third floor of the commission’s head office.
During the visit, he said the chairman found the
assistant director absent during the office time without any kind of permission.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission immediately ordered the administration division of the commission to take administrative action against the officer.
He said, that the commission’s image has been damaged in the activities of the officer and he has been temporarily suspended from the job due to violation of job rules and ‘misconduct’ in accordance with the provisions of Anti-Corruption Commission Job Rule 2008.
