The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday approved a charge-sheet against four people in a case for allegedly plundering nearly Tk 23 lakh.
The Commission at its regular meeting yesterday approved a proposal for submitting a charge-sheet against them, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
He said the charge-sheet will be submitted before court soon against Abdur Rouf, a retired office assistant of Deputy Commissioner’s Office of
Dhaka district, and three others – Shawon Kumar Das, Rezaul Islam and Bazlur Rahman.
According to an ACC investigation, all the accused in collusion with each other swindled over Tk 23 lakh from Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Dhaka through a fake checque of Land Acquisition (LA).
On February 16, 2012, the ACC filed the case against the accused people with Jatrabari Police Station in the capital for allegation of plundering money from the DC office through fake LA checque.
