Right-arm pacer Abul Hasan Raju has been named as Mustafizur Rahman’s replacement in the Bangladesh squad for next month’s Twenty20 International series against Afghanistan in Dehradun, India. Mustafiz was ruled out of the tour after picking up an injury to his left foot.
Raju will join the team in Dehradun tomorrow (Friday).
Abul Hasan Raju played four T20I matches. He bagged two wickets.
Raju took part in this year’s Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League. He captured 11 wickets and scored 229 runs playing 10 matches. He bagged 10 wickets in 10 BPL matches.
Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in the first T20I at Rajib Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun on June 3. Then the Tigers will take on Afghanistan in the second T20I at the same venue on June 5. Bangladesh will meet Afghanistan in the third T20I at the same venue on June 7.
Besides, Bangladesh will play a warm-up match against Afghanistan on June 1.
All the matches will begin at 8.30 pm BST (Bangladesh Standard Time).
