Cluster System at Agri Varsities Test: About 40,000 candidates deprived to compete

The admission test of seven agricultural universities is disputed over excluding about forty thousand students because of GPA less than 9.15 (without four subject) on combined result of HSC and SSC at primary selection.
And also earning money of forty million each of 1000 taka will not refunded to the excluded student.
The admission for session 2019-2020 will be held 30th November of 2019.
About 74456 students of science background applied at the admission test where as 35550 were selected for MCQ examination.
There is a huge backlash among the teachers, students and parents in the selection process.
Ovi Chakma a student’s expressed that, the admission authority has taken a wrong decision to exclude such huge students based on GPA.
He further expressed that our education system on grading system are not equal between Dhaka and outside of Dhaka. Students at village are not getting GPA 5 due to lack of facilities but they are meritorious.
Another student named Maruf expressed that, this process can switch off many meritorious students talent.
Many teachers of seven agricultural universities are disagreeing with the selection process. They expressed that, who cannot attend admission test, should be given money back.
They think there are many rickshawpullers, day laborers children, who applied by their hard earned money. Due to the controversial system, they will not be able to participate, nor will they be refunded the money.
Asked whether the application money will be refunded to Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU).
Pro Dr Lutful Hasan, VC of BAU said that, “We are always thinking about students. We are conducting comprehensive tests, considering their benefits.
However, it has not yet been decided to refund the money. The decision will be made after the test according to how much will cost at total admission test process.
