UNB, Thakurgaon :The body of an auto-rickshaw driver was recovered from a sugarcane farm in Sadar upazila on Saturday, four days into his alleged abduction.The victim was identified as Aktarul Islam, 28, son of Enamul Haque of Munshipara village in the upazila.Police and locals said, Aktarul, along with his auto-rickshaw, went out of house last Tuesday but he did not return home since then.Unknown criminals allegedly demanded Tk 50,000 as ransom from Aktarul’ s family after he went missing.People in Chawkhaldi sugarcane farm spotted thedecomposed body of the auto-rickshaw and informed police. In the meantime, Aktarul’s wife Moyna Begum filed a case accusing four people of abducting her husband.Following the filling of the case, police arrested two persons-Rezaul Karim, 28, and Firoj Hossain, 20-on suspicion of their involvement in the incident.In a similar incident, police recovered the body of another abducted man in the upazila on Monday.
