Abahani register victory over Prime Bank

An allround performance came from defending champions Abahani Limited enable them to register a 60-run Duckworth lewis method victory over Prime Bank Cricket Club in the curtail overs first round super six match of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Wednesday at BKSP ground no 4 in Savar.
Chasing a massive winning target of 334 runs set by Ahahani Limited, Prime Bank found the chase stiff and finally all out for 273 in 43.3 overs.
The Prime Bank batting lone up saw number of good starts but no big scores except opener Zakir Hasan’s polish 55 runs. Manan Sharma was the pick of Abahani bowler as he grabbed three wickets conceding 54 runs. He was well supported by Shuvagata Hom, Afif Hossain and M Saifuddin who all shared two wickets each giving away 33, 48 and 53 runs respectively.
Earlier invited to bat first by Prime Bank, Abahani Limited amassed a daunting total of 321 for 6 in reduced 47 overs courtesy of three half centuries by Liton Das (85), Nazmul Hossain Shanto (65) and M Mithun (60).
Saif Hasan was the other notable scorer for Abahani Limited with 46 runs.
Al-Amin Hossain and Ariful Haque shared two wickets each for Prime Bank conceding 43 and 70 runs respectively.
Liton Das of Abahani Limited was named the player of the match.
