A brilliant hat-trick by English booter Lee Tuck enabled Dhaka Abahani Limited to consolidate their claim for the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football title outplaying Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by 6-1 goals at the MA Aziz Stadium here on Saturday.
With the day’s well merited victory, the sky-blue popular Dhanmondi outfit Abahani clearly dominated the league table securing 35 points from 15 encounters while Muktijoddha Sangsad KC went down to the 6th slot in the 12-team league with their previous credit of 20 points from 15 matches.
Lee Tuck made the 2nd hattrick in the league after maiden hat-trick by his team Sunday Chozoba against Soccer Club, Feni, scoring three goals in the 27th, 64th and 86th minutes, Jonathan David struck two in the 33rd and 92nd minutes while Sunday Chizoba netted the other goal in the 89th minute for Abahani.
Shafiul Islam Bipul scored the face-saving goal for the freedom fighters team in the 21st minute.
