Dhaka Abahani Limited and Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited won their respective matches of the Marcel Club Cup Hockey Competition on Wednesday.
In the day’s first match, Dhaka Abahani Limited blanked Bangladesh SC by 5-0 goals at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium.
Habul of Abahani Limited scored three goals and his teammate Khorshed netted two goals.
In the day’s second match, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited defeated Wari Club by 4-1 goals at the same venue.
Din Islam, Jimmy, Lal, Rana (Junior) of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited successfully struck one time each on the board while Nazmul pulled off one for the losers.
Before Wednesday’s matches, one minute silence was observed marking the death of Alamgir Md Adel.
Today Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club will face Ajax SC at 2.30 pm while Usha Krira Chakra will meet Sadharan Bima Krira Sangha at 4.15 pm at the same venue.
