Abahani Limited earned a 13-run victory over AV Sporting Club in the Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket Super League at the BKSP ground-4 in Savar on Tuesday.
Abahani Limited batted first after winning the toss and scored 133 runs for 7 in a 37-over-a-side delayed start match for rain.
One down Shaila Sharmin hammered the match highest 43 runs off 73 balls featuring four fours and was adjudged the player of the match.
Besides, Mihiri Madushari (31), Sharmin Sultana (16) and Montaha Khantun (11) were the other major scorers for Abahani while another 19 runs of the innings came from extras.
Sandiha Islam, Sharifa Khatun, Panna Ghosh and Lily Rani took one wicket each.
In reply, AV Sporting Club were all out for 120 runs in 35.3 overs with Shahnaz Parveen making 24, Farzana Boby 17 and Sultana Khatun 13 runs.
Another 35 runs of the innings came from extras.
Harshani Madhuwanthi grabbed three wickets for 14 runs while player of the match Shaila Sharmin, Suborna Islam and Jahanara Alam took one wicket each.
