Dhaka Abahani Limited defeated Old DOHS Sports Club by 22 runs, according to the Duckworth/Lewis Method in their rain-interrupted match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Thursday.
Chasing Dhaka Abahani Limited’s 135 runs for the loss of six wickets in the 19 overs (one over was curtailed due to rain), Old DOHS were restricted to 113 for the loss of three wickets off 19 overs.
Mohammad Saifuddin of Dhaka Abahani Limited hammered a windy 40. He used just 19 balls. He also shone with the cherry. He took one wicket for 15 runs, while Arafat Sunny got one wicket at the cost of 13 runs.
Rakin of Old DOHS fought back making 43 from 44 balls, while opener Anisul Islam Emon notched up 20 from 17 balls. Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored 15 from 27 balls and Rayan Rahman hit 16 from nine balls.
