Title aspirants Abahani Limited came from behind and earned a hard-fought 2-1 goals victory over Sonali Bank S&RC in the day’s second match of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
All the three goals were scored in the first session.
Masum of Sonali Bank S&RC put his team ahead utilizing a penalty corner in the 20th minute of the first half.
Mimo of Abahani Limited leveled the margin by a field goal in the 29th minute of the play.
After two minutes Mimo scored the match-winning goal.
In the day’s first match, Ajax Sporting Club blanked Azad Sporting Club by 4-0 goals at the same venue.
Ajax led the first half 2-0.
Rajon, Prashanta, Imtiaz, Hasan successfully struck one time each on the board for the victorious team.
