Desk Report: Md. Towhiddjjaman popularly known as Towhid, is a young Bangladeshi educational entrepreneur. He is also known as certified Assessor of BTEB (Bangladesh Technical Education Board), Public Speaker, social media influencer and the founder of eBoiBitan. He is from Fulbaria, Mymensingh. From his childhood, he had a great interest in doing something for mass people. He has a great passion to travel and meet up with students to spread positive thinking about technical education in Bangladesh. Loves to teach himself and teach others. Towhiddjjaman has started his career as an Instructor at the young age. He has experience of teaching in various technical institutes since the time of Diploma course. He was also a guest trainer in various institutions including Bangladesh-Korea Technical Training Center. He is also an Assessor and Trainer of Bangladesh Technical Education Board. Beside his work responsibilities, Towhid visited many institutions in the country and discussed with the students. He answers numerous questions about what can be done to improve one’s skills or where one can get proper training in any subject. During the journey, he talked to the people about the benefits of technical education and distributed leaflets. He has continued his efforts to inform everyone by making career guidelines or other necessary directional videos. At the beginning of the Corona pandemic, Towhid launched a Facebook page named E-Boi Bitan in 2020. E-Boi Bitan delivers books all over Bangladesh, which is now gaining popularity & belief among people. Often Towhiddjjaman gives books to poor students without any cost. Besides contemporary books, E-Boi Bitan provides various preparatory books for diploma engineering students. The young entrepreneur said that I visited most technical education institutions in the country. Often these books are not always available in the nearest library. Many distant students come to Dhaka for the book. Many people are also deceived through different ways. I have launched this online bookshop. My main purpose is to ensure desired services. He not only sells, but occasionally sends free books to poor students. Towhiddjjaman said that the financial conditions of all aren’t the same, but they have good dreams. Often I send books to them free of cost from my small dividends. This will continue. In this pandemic situation, Towhid distributed emergency food among helpless people. For a couple of years, Towhid helped the helpless people in Ramadan, before the Eid festival. Last year, he distributed food in flood affected areas. Towhid says of his dream: “I want to start a technical training center for unemployed youth in my area. Where they can stand on their own two feet with training. We want to remove the curse of unemployment and make them known as skilled citizens. Since I have not yet become self-sufficient enough, I am seeking the attention of the wealthy and concerned people of the society in this regard. ” Recently, Towhiddjjaman received a special award from the RISDA Institute of Technology in recognition of his work. He is also known as ‘Karigori Shikkhar Feriwala’ (a vendor of technical education) for his active participation in the positive promotion of technical education.
