A girl’s success story of becoming a pilot

Becoming a pilot of airplane is a challenging profession. Highly estimable pupils with continuous efforts can become successful in this profession. Laborious, steady and smart performer one can make dream true in this profession. Young people with focus, passion, continuous labor, advancing mentality, self esteem, confidence and self-dependent can only create safe home in the sky, said Ethar Fariel Hamid who is joining as a pilot after long education and training.
To build self as a confident, reliant pilot Ethar Fariel Hamid informed that she had a dream to become a pilot from the very beginning of her educational life. As her mother is a teacher who looks after carefully of her children so that they remain cautious for building their career. Today mother of Fariel’s dream has become true and meaningful. “Due to mother’s motivation my brothers and sisters have really been established in their career,” said Ethar Fariel Hamid.
Pilot Ethar Fariel Hamid said after independence young generation has become interested more to be pilot but in the competition, girls are in advance position though all are same in competition. Girls are advancing due to better performance and there is enough opportunity for girls in this profession in Bangladesh.
Expressing hope she added girls should come more to this profession but they are lagging behind. She asked girls to come this profession more quoting that country’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker of the Parliament, Political leaders, Ministers, secretaries all are now mostly women, so taking inspiration from their life our girls should not lag behind. A circle of fear works in girl’s mind that they may not become successful. But success in all stages of life is the inspiration of women life.
Meritorious girl Ethar Fariel Hamid was born in a royal family at Elephant Road of Dhaka. Her father is Abdul Hamid who is a established business man. Mother Fatema Hamid is a dedicated teacher who has established a school in the last 30 years. Among one brother and three sisters Ethar Fariel Hamid is fourth in position. Eldest sister Farhana Hamid is doing MPhil at Dhaka University. Second sister Dr Farjana Hamid is Doctor of Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujirur Rahman University Hospital. Only brother late Dr Md Hasibuyl Haque Hasan was a meritorious student.
 Ethar Fariel Hamid started her educational life at Standard tutorial Kindergarten of Dhaka as a meritorious student. She successfully completed SSC and HSC from Viqarunnesa Noon School and College successfully. But right after HSC examination she had started her career in Saudi Airlines and simultaneously continued her study at Dhaka University. From the dream of becoming a pilot she left the job of Saudi airlines and joined in GMG airlines of Bangladesh. While working there she got admitted into Bangladesh Flight Academy aiming at achieving Personal Pilots Flying License (PPL) and Commercial Pilots Flying License (CPL) certificate after completing courses.
Then Ethar Fariel Hamid had got admitted into PPL course. There she had to take a lot of schooling and lessons. There she had to survive 50 hours in a row in the airplane. After she had to get education on ten subjects and successfully passed in the examination of Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority. Besides, enormous lessons, one have to be expert of flying alone, landing to get license from the authority. Ethar Fariel Hamid has successfully earned PPL certificate.
After PPL she has achieved CPL which is a very difficult job. There are schooling in advanced level and she has also successfully earned the CPL by giving examination from the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority. She has survived 150 hours in the sky which is a difficult job and also passed fitness test. She has overcome such difficult test very successfully and achieved the CPL license.
Ethar Fariel Hamid, to become an operational pilot has successfully passed all the examinations and training through earning certificates. To start a career of a professional pilot she has applied in Bangladesh Biman and other prestigious airlines. She expressed hope that she will be recruited soon with her skills and experiences.
Her next dream is to become flying instructor. Using her real life experiences she wishes to develop professional pilots in the country. She has started to work towards that mission.
 Besides her career, she has started business of tour operator emphasizing her father’s ideology and established Fariel Travels and Tourism. She is also helping her mother in the school and aims to deliver free education to the underprivileged children of the society who are deprived of education.
At a glance, Ethar Fariel Hamid is a leading woman of various merit and skills. She could be an example of educated, professional and successful woman in her carrier.
