A delegation of Leading University, Sylhet made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday.
Led by chairman of the board of trustees of the university Ragib Ali, the delegation apprised the President of the activities of the university during the meeting.
They said that currently 4500 students have been studying in seven departments under four faculties.
The President underscored the need for ensuring quality education for students and urged the university authorities to increase facilities for the students-residents and non-residents. Abdul Hamid thanked the delegation for establishing the university outside the Sylhet city. Concerned secretaries to the President Office were present.
