A 7-day Furniture Fair began in the Port City from Wednesday with a view to promoting the sector both locally and internationally. Chairman of Furniture Industries Owners Association Selim H Rahman formally inaugurated the Fair on Wednesday at GEC Convention Centre in the city as Chief Guest. Among others, Secretary General of the association Md. Elias Sarker, General Secretary of Chittagong Divisional Unit Azam Khan and the President of Balirhat Furniture Merchants Association Jasimuddin spoke in it. Mentionable that the Furniture Fair is being held in the Port City since 2006, sources said.
