Media Advisor to the Prime Minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury said the 9th Wage Board for the journalists now at final stage which will be declared very shortly following the appointment of o ne Chairman.
He said this wage board will include the salary and allowances for the electronic and print media separately .
He disclosed it while exchanging views with the journalists of Chittagong as Chittagong Press Club lounge on Saturday afternoon.
Media Advisor of the govt said Prime Minister is journalist friendly one and she tries betterment of the journalists all the times. As a result, present govt privatized the Television chennels in private sector. He thanked the newly elected office bearers of the press club . President of the Chittagong Press Club Kalim Sarwar presided over it.
Among others, Secretary of Press club Suklal Das, former President Mostaque Ahmed , Vice President Nirupam Das, BFUJ leader Asif Siraj, Chairman of Journalist Housing Society Moinuddin Quaderi Showkat, Joint Secretary of Press Club Chowdhury Farid were present on the occasion.
