The 95th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day- 2015 was observed in different districts on Tuesday amid huge enthusiasm and festivity .Different socio-cultural, political and professional organisations and educational institutions chalked out programmes to observe the Day. Sylhet Correspondent says: The 95th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day- 2015 was observed in Sylhet on Tuesday amid huge enthusiasm and festivity with fresh vow to build Sonar Bangla.
The district administration, Shishu Academy, Shilpokola Academy, Islamic Foundation, District Information Office, Awami League (AL), Bangabandhu Shikhkhya O Gobeshona Parishad, Muktijoddha Sangshad, Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, different socio-cultural, political and professional organisations and educational institutions chalked out programmes to observe the day.
Besides, the Health & Family Planning Departments, CARE Bangladesh, RDRS Bangladesh, Merry Stopes Clinic, Pollishree, FPAB, Association for Community Development, other NGOs and organisations celebrated the day.
The district administration, Awami League (AL), its front organisations, SylhetCity Corporation (SCC), Shishu Academy, Shilpokola Academy, educational institutions, socio-cultural and other organisations observed the day through various programmes.
The programmes included placing of wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu, cake cutting , children’s gatherings and rallies, processions of underprivileged children, drawing, handwriting, essay and ready speech competitions, screening of ‘Eso Bangabandhu Hoi’ documentary film, discussions and cultural functions.
Special supplements were published in the local news papers; special doa, prayers and munajats offered at the religious institutions and improved diets served among the underprivileged children.
The observance began at 10 am through placing of wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the Central Shaheed Minar by Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Jamal Uddin, , Deputy Commissioner Shohidul Islam Police Super Nure Alom Mina and high officials.
Staff Reporter from Kishoreganj reports: The nation observed the 96th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day on Tuesday in the district.
Different socio-political and cultural organisations including the ruling Awami League, JSD, NAP, Gonotranti Party and theres affiliated bodies have chalked out elaborate programmes to mark the Day.
The Day was a public holiday. Local dailies published special supliment.
Kishoreganj district administration arranged discussion, ralies, art compitition marking the Day. A discussion meeting was held at Local Silpakala Academy. Deputy Commissioner S.M. Alam presided over the meeting. Dilara Begum Asma M.P attended as Chief Guest.
It was addressed among others by Police Super Md. Anower Hossain Khan, Zilla Parished Administrator Adv. Zillur Rahman, CEO of Zila Parishad Md. Anisuzzaman, ADC (General) Jamil Ahmed, ADC (Revenue) Kazi Abed Hossain, Zila Awami League General Secretary Adv. M.A. Afzol, Sadar UNO A.S.M Ferdous & Journalist Sakauddin Ahmed Rajon.
A cultural function was held on the occassion. A colourful rally was brought out in the town.
Monirampur (Jessore) Correspondent says: Bangabandhu’s birth Day and Nationalal Children’s Day was observed in Monirampur on Tuesday.
To observance the Day, Upazila administration and different socio-cultural, political, organization including Awami League chalked out elaborate programmes . The programmes include placing of wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Shakh Mujibur Rahman, discussion meeting, essay and drawing competition and Milad Mahafil. A rally also paraded the Upazila Sador roads. Shapon Bhattacharjee MP was present as Chief Guest while Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharif Nazrul Islam presided.
Dupchanchia(Bogra) Correspondent reports: The National Children’s Day and 95th birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujubur Rahman was celebrated paying homage to the heroic leader by placing wreaths at his portrait here in Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra district on Tuesday.
 A colorful rally was brought out from the UNO office premises to move the main roads of the town in the morning. Later a discussing meting also arranged marking the Day.
Gouripur(Mymensingh) Correspondent reports: The 96th birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day was observed in a befitting manner on Tuesday in Gouripur upazila under Mymensingh.
 Apart from the ruling Awami League (AL) Gouripur upazila unit and its front and associated bodies, different political, socio-cultural and educational organisations chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the Day, which is also the Nation Children Day, with due respect and in festive mood.
A children’s rally, discussion and a cultural function was held at Gouripur Upazila Parishad Aam Chattar at 10:00am. Students of different institutions like Gouripur R.K.Govt. high School, Gouripur Pilot Girls High School, Nurul Amin Khan High School, Agradut Niketon Adarsha High School, Govt.Textile Vocational Institute, Islamabad Senior Madrasha joined the rally. This rally was attended by Alhajj Freedom Fighter Dr. Capt. (Retd.) Mujibur Rahman Fakir MP, Former State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, while UNO of this upazila Dur-e-Shahwaj presided over the programme.

BSS from Faridpur reports: The 96th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day was observed here on Tuesday in a befitting manner as elsewhere across the country.
The two-day observance programme chalked out by the local district
administration began on Monday on the premises of DC office. The programme was organized by District Shishu Academy.
Children of different ages took part in the recitations of poems on Bangabandhu. Besides, art and patriotic song competition and essay completion were held among the students of college and schools on the same premises.
In the morning a rally consisting of hundreds of children paraded different streets and ended at Ambica Memorial hall.
Local district administration, police department, other autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, Awami League and its front organizations and various socio-cultural organizations paid tributes to Father of the Nation by placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the same venue.
