Minister in-charge of Cabinet Division in Parliament and Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury told the Jatiya Sangsad that the government at the end of its last tenure implemented 96.49 per cent decisions of the cabinet.
“The government has implemented 176 decisions out of 253 during its current tenure beginning January 12, 2014,” she said this on Wednesday while replying to a question from treasury bench member M Israfil Alam in the House. Some 77 decisions are now under implementation, she added.
Matia said a total of 43 cabinet meetings were held from January 12, 2014 to January 13, 2015.
During this period, the minister said, the cabinet approved in principle the drafts of 14 laws and endorsed finally the drafts of 29 laws. Besides, the cabinet meetings also approved five policies and 29 agreements/memorandums of understanding signed with foreign countries during the same period, she said.
