Chattogram Bureau :
Nine people were injured when a truck carrying garment workers collided head-on with a truck in Anwara , in the district. The accident took place in the Taylardwip area of the Chittagong-Banshkhali road on Saturday morning.
The injured are Rozina Akhter (25), Habiba Akhter (18), Jahanara Begum (24), Champa Das (24), Nilu Majumder (30), Khorai Jannat (23), Md. Iqbal (34), Bilkis Begum (32) and Monowara Begum (26).
Chittagong Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Deputy Assistant Inspector (ASI) Alauddin Talukder said nine garment workers were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Anwara.
They were later rescued and admitted to different wards of Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The injured are all garment workers of the Korean EPZ located at Anowara , on south bank of river Karnaphuli.
