9 more killed in road crashes

At least nine persons including three motorcyclists were killed and many others seriously injured in several road crashes across the country on Friday.
In Chattogram, two people were killed when a collision occurred between a tractor and an auto rickshaw at Kaptai intersection under Chandgaon thana of the city on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sumon, 22, son of one Md. Sharif from Quaish Boro Pukur Par, and Md. Anis, 33, son of one Abed Ali from Battery Gali area.
Jahirul Haque Bhuiya, Outpost-in-Charge of the hospital said.
In Tangail, two persons were killed and four others seriously injured when an truck and a microbus collided head-on at Delduar upazila’s Dubail on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Kader of Chandva union and his neighbour Abdur Razzak.
Local sources said that a microbus, starting from Pabna, and a truck, overloaded with soil, collided head-on. As a result, the microbus was left in pieces and two persons dead on the spot. The injured four have been admitted to Tangail General Hospital.”

In Dhaka, a motorcyclist was killed when a passenger bus rammed him in Rampura Bridge area in the capital on Friday noon.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Quader, 60, a driver by profession.
In Narayanganj, a motorcyclist named Nure-Alam Emon, 37, was killed when a truck hit him on the Dhaka-Cumila Highway under Daudkandi upazila of the district on Friday noon.
In Gazipur, an unidentified pedestrian was killed in a tragic road crash at Kodda Bazar under the Gazipur City Corporation on Friday afternoon.
Utpol, Sub-Inspector of Bason Police station told the news to the media.
In Cox’Bazar, an youth named Mahmud Miah,18, was killed when a auto-rickshaw rammed him in Pekoya upazila of the district.
In Gaibandha, a pedestrian named Omar Faruque, 20, was killed when a truck hit him in Materhat area under Sundarganj upazila of the district.
