9 more killed in road crashes

Reckless driving continuous on the streets. At least nine persons including a college girl were killed and 40 others seriously injured in separate road crashes across the country on Monday.
In Rajshahi, two people were killed and two others injured when a paddy-laden mini-truck fell into a roadside ditch in Mohonpur upazila of the district on Monday.
The accident took place at Medical Intersection area at around 7:30am.
The deceased were identified as Mohon, 28, and his cousin Rashed, 23.
Mohonpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Hossain said the news to the media.
In Lalmonirhat, a housewife named Rokeya Begum was killed and her two daughters seriously injured when a truck ploughed through her house besides Lalmonirhat-Burimari Highway in Kaliganj upazila on Monday.
Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sazzad Hossain confirmed the matter to the media.
In Gazipur, an unidentified man,35, died in a road crash when a passenger bus ran over him in Tongi Station Road area in Gazipur on Monday. Emdadul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Tongi West Police Station told the matter to the media.
In Chattogram, a motorcyclist named Azad, 30, was killed in a road crash in Old Bakalia Police Station area of the district on Monday morning.
In Tangail, a college girl named Shamima Akhter,18, was killed in a road accident at Atia union under Deldoar upazila of the district on Monday.
Monowar Hossain, Sub-Inspector of Deldoar Police Station confirmed the matter to the media.
In Chuyadanga, an unknown woman was killed when a passenger bus rammed her in Sadar Upazila of the district.
Abu Zihad, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station confirmed the news to the media.
In Netrokona, a youth named Mamun -or-Rashid,35, was killed when a passenger bus hit him at Sakoya Bazar under Sadar Upazila of the district.
Rafiqul Islam, Sub-Inspector of Netrokona Model Police Station told the matter to the media.
