9 killed in road crashes

At least nine persons were killed and 30 others seriously injured in several road crashes across the country on Monday.
In Dinajpur, a 50-year old man and his 25-year old son died in a tragic road crash when a passenger bus rammed them in Parbotipur upazila of the district on Monday.
The accident took place on the Fulbari-Rangpur highway near Maddhupara market yesterday noon.
The deceased were identified as Mustafizur Rhaman, and his son Sablur Rahman from Nababganj upazila.
Sirajul Islam, in- charge of Maddhapara Outpost Police confirmed the matter to the media. In Khulna, a woman named Hasi Akther,22, was killed in a tragic road crash when a truck hit her in Fulbari gate area of the city on Monday.
Abdul Haque, Sub-Inspector of Khan Jahan Ali Police Station told the news media.
In Sirajganj, a schoolboy was killed under a truck when its helper was taking driving lesson in Ullapara upazila of the district. The accident took place at Pagla Boalia Govermemnt Primary School playground of the upazila on Monday.
The victim was identified as Maruf Hossen, 9, son of Shahadat Hossen, a 3rd grade student of the aforementioned school and a resident of Boalia North Para village.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Arifuzzaman and the mayor of the municipality Nazrul Islam visited the site.
In Mymensingh, an unidentified man, 65, was killed when a truck hit him in Kolotapara area under Gouri upazila of the district on Monday morning.
In Habiganj, an unknown pedestrian, 40, was killed when a bus rammed him in Kodomtoli area under Sayestaganj upazila of the district.
In Munshiganj, a pedestrian named Md. Jamir, 37, was killed when a truck rammed him in Srinagar upazila of the district on Monday.
In Savar, a RMG worker named Al Muslim, 60, was killed when a passenger bus hit him at Ulain Bus Stand under savar of Dhaka district.
