9 DU students receive AF Mujibur Rahman Gold Medal

A total of 9 meritorious students of the Department of Mathematics of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded AF Mujibur Rahman Foundation Gold Medals for their outstanding academic results in BS Honours and MS examinations. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed the Gold Medals and Certificates among the awardees as chief guest at a function held on Saturday) at AF Mujibur Rahman Ganit Bhaban of the university.
Chairman of the Department of Mathematics of DU Prof. Dr. Amulya Chandra Mandal presided over the function while Trustee of AF Mujibur Rahman Foundation and Prof. of London School of Economics, UK Dr. Naila Kabeer addressed it as special guest.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique in his speech congratulated the awardees.
 He also thanked the AF Mujibur Rahman Foundation for providing Gold Medals to DU meritorious students and hoped that the students would be benefited and encouraged by this donation. He said, AF Mujibur Rahman had dedicated his entire life to promote socio-economic condition of general public of the country.
Awardees are : Farzana Islam (MS), Sanjida Islam (MS), Farhana Ahmed Simi (BS), Md. Alomgir Hossain Badsha (MS), Chinmayee Podder (MS), Kamrun Naher (MS), Kamrunaher (MS), Md. Lokman Hossen (MS) and Shahenur Begum (MS).
