Law enforcers in separate drives from Friday night to Saturday morning arrested 337 people, including 87 BNP and Jamaat-Shibir activists, on different charges from Satkhira, Jhenidah, Chittagong, Chuadanga and Moulvibazar districts.
In Satkhira, the law enforcers in separate drives arrested 31 people, including 13 leaders and activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra
Shibir from different parts of the district. The drive was conducted from Friday night till Saturday morning.
Enamul Haque, sub-inspector of the Special Branch (SB) of police, said a team of joint forces conducted separate drives in the district and arrested 10 people from Sadar upazila, four from Kalaroa, three from Tala, two from Kaliganj, four from Ashashuni, three from Debhata and Shyamnagar upazilas, and two from Patkelghata upazila.
In Jhenidah, police arrested 11 leaders and activists of BNP and Jamaat, from different places of the district from Friday night to Saturday morning.
