A total of 848 educational institutions have achieved 100 percent pass in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations-2016 across the country.
Students from 8,345 institutions took part in the examinations this year.
A total of 1,133 institutions achieved 100 percent pass rate in the examinations in last year.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid disclosed the results at a press conference in the media room of the ministry on Thursday.
Of those, 43 institutions are from Dhaka Board, 18 from Rajshahi, 8 from Comilla, 13 from Jessore, 5 from Chittagong, 2 from Barisal, 5 from Sylhet, 11 from Dinajpur while the number of hundred percent successful institutions under Madrasa Board is 585 and 158 under Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
