Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, “The number of drug addicted people to drugs is about 80 lakh in the country. Everyone from the government agencies to the public representatives have to come forward to bring them back to normal life.
Our next generations will be destroyed if we fail to bring them back to right track.”
He made the comment while speaking at
a programme in Keraniganj of Dhaka on Thursday.
Home Minister said, “The movement we started against tobacco seems to have been quite successful.” Now seldom smokes in the public places. People know that tobacco is harmful. That is why many are returning to normal life from tobacco.
The minister also said that our prime minister had declared zero tolerance against militancy and terrorism. We have achieved that with the support of law enforcement. At present we are fighting against drugs and tobacco. We must win this war. Otherwise we will not be able to save future generations.
