Eight Bangladeshi youths returned home through Benapole port here on Friday after serving jail in India.
The returnees are Billal Sheikh, 26, his brother Helal Sheikh, hailing from Bagerhat, Helal Sheikh, 27, of Barguna, Farhad, 30, of Jhenidah district, Rajkumar, 31, hailing from Satkhira, Nabab Ali, 28, Selim Molla, 32, and Saurav Kundu, hailing from Narail.
Omar Sharif, officer-in-charge of Benapole Immigration Police, said Indian police arrested them in different times for entering India without any legal documents.
Later, they were sentenced to different jail terms.
After completion of their jail terms, they were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station, said Imran Hossain, assistant sub-inspector of Benapole Port Police Station.
