A total of eight Bangladesh cricketers have been taken place in Lanka Premier League (LPL) players’ draft. The auction of LPL players’ draft will start on September 24 and will come to end on October 7.
Mahmudullah Riyad, Mahedi Hasan, Shohag Gazi, Shafiul Islam, Afif Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Imrul Kayes and Ebadot Hossain have been registration for the upcoming LPL players’ transfer draft.
Apart from eight Bangladesh cricketers, Chris Gayle of West Indies, Faf Du Plessis of South Africa, Shahid Afridi of Pakistan, James Faulkner of Australia have been registration in the LPL players’ draft. Besides, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, the two star players of India have also register their names for the ensuing players’ draft of Lanka Premier League.
A total of 699 foreign cricketers applied for the players’ draft of LPL. The Sri Lanka Cricket has finally approved 225 players from that list. A number of six foreign
players will get chance to enlist their names in a squad. So, thirty foreign cricketers will get chance to enlist their names in a squad.
A number of four foreign players will get chance to play in a match.
This is the second edition of the LPL. A total of five teams will play in the LPL like the first edition of LPL.
The LPL will begin on December 5 and will be concluded on December 23. A total of 24 matches will be held in this edition of LPL.
