The seventh edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo will begin in Dhaka on November 8 to bring manufacturers, buyers and designers under the same roof to showcase their latest innovations. The two-day mega expo will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) focusing on transparency of supply chain to show buyers and consumers where and how the apparels are produced. The demand for transparency in textile and garment supply chains is growing. As a result, “Transparency” will be at the heart of the new edition with a series of actions and events that will let people know about the manufacturing process, said the organisers. It will help visitors as well as buyers to know the whole process of manufacturing clothing product through a 3D show. “Transparency, in this regard, means knowing people who make the products – from stitching clothes to dyeing the fabric and even producing clothes from the cotton, the expo organizer explained. When companies are working in a transparent way, this also implies openness, communication and accountability across the supply chain and with the public too, it added. This exhibition will offer a unique panel of companies exhibiting their top products and best practices centered on the main theme of the expo, representing the full denim supplying chain.
