DC of Chittagong Mohammed Zillur Rahman Chowdhury presided over the law and order committee meeting on Sunday.
The meeting of Chittagong district law and order committee stressed on controlling of law and order in Chittagong during holy month of Ramzan.
 The meeting of the committee was held at conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chittagong on Sunday morning. The meeting was chaired by the DC of Chittagong Mohammed Zillur Rahman Chowdhury.
Additional Superint-endent of Police (SP) of Chittagong Mohammed Rezaul Masud informed the meeting that the law and order is under control of the law enforcers. He said, Chittagong district police nabbed 758 persons in the special raids during the holy month of Ramadan.
Addressing the meeting, DC of Chittagong Zillur Rahman expressed his dissatisfaction over the delay in implementation of decisions of the committee. He said, the delay in implementation of decisions of the committee would not be tolerated. “We should implement all decisions of the meeting before the next meeting.”
He said, Chittagong district administration is very aware of controlling price hike and maintaining law and order in Chittagong during holy month of Ramadan. Mobile court continued and market monitoring cell was formed in this regard, he pointed out.
He asked the law enforcers to be careful to control the law and order situation in Chittagong. SP said there are only four incidents of robbery in the upazilas of Chittagong during Ramadan. But, police nabbed the accused of three cases of robbery while rest one is under investigation.”
