72 people of abolished enclaves in Kurigram enter into India

A total of 72 inhabitants of men, women and children of 16 families in two recently abolished enclaves have gone to India with travel pass on Sunday noon.
It was their long waited to go to India and their new life will start there. The preparation of some 265 inhabitants of 67 families of 2 former enclaves out of 12 into Kurigram district have been completed as they will go to India with citizenship. Of them, 49 persons of 10 families in former Dashearchara enclave under Phulbari upazila and 23 persons of 5 families in former enclave Gariljhar under Bhurungamari upazila went to India on November 22 as first phase.
In second phase a total of 115 persons of 30 families in former Dashearchara enclave will enter into India on November 24 and in third phase 78 persons of 27 families of Dasharchara will enter in India on November 26.They were unwilling to go to India leaving the motherland as they born here and have grown up but they have to go to India for husband and other relatives.
Mizanur Rahman, an inhabitant of former Dashearchara enclave told New Nation that we were the incidents of former Indian enclave or land causing we decided to go to India after exchanging enclaves between the two neighboring countries. In addition we will get the citizenship and other facilities in our own country after 68 years. We are expecting as the Indian government will arrange for our self reliant.
They reached at Bagbhander border under Bhurungamari upazia with bus and track at 11am . Avijit Roy,Faruk Azam and Arup charetjee the officers of Indian High Commissioner look after them.
They entered in India after checking at 2 pm.Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC) general Rafikul Islam Selim, Commanding officer of 45 BGB Battalion Lt.col. Zakir Hossain, Additional Police Super Shahabuddin, Bhurungamari UNO Mamun Bhuiya, Nageswari UNO Abul Hayat Md. Rahmatullah,UNO of Phulbari upazila Nasir Uddin Mahmud, executive magistrate Sohel Maruf, Nobi Newaj,OC Zia Latif, former general secretary of Bangladesh-India enclave exchange coordination committee Golam Mostafa good by them feeding sweetmeats and offering bouquets of flowers.
Former general secretary of Bangladesh-India enclave exchange coordination committee Golam Mostafa said some of them have gone to India in their last age leaving their tears but it the reality, he said.
The enclaves have been exchanged after our demand for long. We are expecting the people who became citizenship of India will be happy.
Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Khan Md. Nural Amin told New Nation that although 305 inhabitants of former 12 enclaves decided to go to India in first phase but at the last moment some 265 persons will start for India. All preparation s have been taken for them to go to India.
 They were taken to Baghvandar border taking necessary articles from the abolished enclave. They were departure with honor DC said those who are unwilling to go to India, the government has not informed any decision formally. But it has an order that no one should be compelled to India. So the Indian travel passport holders may stay in Bangladesh if they do not want to go to India.When they were entering into India near international main pillar no 962/s some hundreds of people good by them showing hands. The former MP of Kurigram constituenct-2 Md. Jafar Ali.freedom fighter and president of Kurigram district unit of AL Aminul Islam Monju Mondol,Bhurungamari Upazila Chairman Khokon Choudhury and others were also present.
A pandel has also been decorated at Shahebgani in Indian side to wel come them. DM of Koochbihat district of India sree Paul Ganathan, company commander of 101 Shahebganj Commander Aninda Ghos and other government officers were also present.
 The people welcomed them showing hands.ADC Rafikul Islam Selim said the were reached them to Shahebganj temporary camp with tight security. The administrative officers between the neighbouring countries were present. A total of 305 persons were expected to go to India with Indian citizenship but finally a total of 265 persons decided to go India.
In first phase 72 of 15 families have gone to India on Sunday,115 of 30 families will start for India on November 24 and 78 persons of 27 families will start for India on November 26.
