BHOLA: A number of 71 more persons were diagnosed with Covid-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 138 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital Covid-19 laboratory.
The new positive cases, 45 are in Sadar upazila, one in Charfashion upazila, 10 in Borhanuddin upazila, eight in Daulatkhan upazila, three in Lalmohan upazila, one in Tajumuddin upazila and three in Manpura upazila of the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman, told BSS this afternoon.
Meanwhile, six patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in the district.
The total number of infected people in the district stood at 2,485 while the number of recovery cases at 2,080, the civil surgeon said.
Meanwhile, one person has died with coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in the district.
A total of 27 persons have so far died of Covid-19 in the district, he added.
Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman said infected 23 persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
The health expert of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
