7 students of DU win Tajuddin Ahmed award

Seven students of the Dhaka University (DU) achieved Tajuddin Ahmed, the first Prime Minister of Bangladesh, award for their outstanding contribution.
Khaled Imran, a student of the Department of Peace and Conflict achieved Tajuddin Ahmed Peace Scholar Golden Award for his excellent result in Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) honours examination in 2012.
Besides, Nusrat Jahan Jebin won Tajuddin Ahmed Scholarship for her good behavior, regularity in classes and good study.
Five students—Ibrahim Khalil, Afroza Akter, Anamika Das, Syeda Abida Farhin Bushra and Khadezatul Kobra— won Tajuddin Ahmed Award for winning special essay competition on Tajuddin Ahmed life and his works.
Tajuddin Ahmed Memorial Trust Fund (TAMTF) organized the function on Thursday at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senat Bhaban here marking Tajuddin Ahmed’s birth anniversary.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AASM Arifen Siddique handed over gold medal, scholarship and prizes among the winners as the chief guest with DU Treasurer and Trust Board Chairman of TAMTF Prof Dr Kamal Uddin in the chair.
Member of TAMTF Simin Hossain Rimi, MP, spoke as special guest while DU Prof Dr Abul Kasem Fazlul and DU Acting Registrar Syed Rezaur Rahman were present on the occasion.
