At least seven shops were gutted in a fire at Arpara Bazar in Shalikha upazila early yesterday.
Moniruzzaman, an officer at Magura Fire Service, said the fire broke out from an electric-short circuit around 2am and burned down the seven shops.
On information, a fire-fighting unit rushed to the spot and doused the flame.
