Seven overseas-returnees were sent to Kuwait-Bangladesh Maitree Hospital from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday as their body temperature was found high during thermal screening.
Sources at the airport said the returnees landed at the airport by different flights along with other Bangladeshi expatriates from 7:00 am on Wednesday to 7:00 am on Thursday.
As the body temperature of the seven returnees was found higher than the normal one during the health screening, they were sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure, said Dr Shahriar Sajjad, in-charge of the Airport health camp. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has confirmed the detection of 18 coronavirus cases and one death.
