7 more killed in road crashes

At least seven more persons were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Tuesday.
In Chattogram, around five people, including an auto-rickshaw puller, were killed in a road accident in Mirsarai Upazila of the district. Six people were injured in the accident.
The accident took place at 7am on Tuesday at Thakurdighi area of the upazila.The deceased are Shah Alam, 40, the auto-rickshaw driver, Didarul Alam, 35, Kamrul, 45, Mosharaf, 26 and Mohiuddin, 60.
Two sibling passengers of the auto-rickshaw, Liton, 25, and Sohel, 22, were admitted to Jorarganj upazila health complex, with injuries.
Shohel Sarker, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Highway Police Outpost confirmed the matter to media.
The deceased’s families received the bodies, he added.
In Kushtia, two persons, including minor girl, were killed in separate road accidents in Kushtia’s Bheramara and Islamic universities.
The two accidents occurred on Tuesday morning.
Officer-in-Charge of Bheramara Police Station Aminul Islam said that an unknown Nasiman helper (24) was killed in a crash at Bheramara four-point roads of the district.
On the other hand, Islami University Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ratan Sheikh said that a minor girl named Sumaiya (6) was killed when a motorcycle rammed her on the street.
